Craftsmanship and Weaving Process
Each peshtemal is woven on traditional looms, following time-honored techniques passed down through generations. I personally design and produce these towels in my workshop, ensuring every detail meets the highest standards.
The weaving process begins with selecting the finest OEKO-TEX certified cotton yarns. These yarns are carefully spun to achieve the perfect balance of softness and durability. The towels are woven in a tight diamond weave, which makes them denser and more absorbent than standard peshtemals. Unlike mass-produced lightweight towels, these are built to last, maintaining their texture and efficiency after multiple washes.
Color selection is another crucial step. I choose natural and long-lasting dyes that bond well with the cotton fibers, ensuring fade-resistant and vibrant colors. Due to variations in dye absorption, some colors result in slightly heavier towels than others.
